“CHUCKY” is getting a TV series

Don’t you just love all of these TV adaptations of beloved movies and video games? We sure as hell do, and for good reason – they generally kick ass. Well, apart from the odd one or two…

Syfy has announced they have picked up the series aptly named “CHUCKY” which will be produced by Universal Content Productions, and most excitingly of all, will be overseen by the writer’s of the horror franchise. That’s right, Dave Kirschner and Don Mancini will be developing the show along with the producer of Syfy horror series “Channel Zero”, Nick Antosca.

And, the premise of the Chucky series is?

“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale” blah blah, something about the town’s dirty little secrets yada yada, a bunch of mysterious murders badabing badaboom. What looks to be a nice take however is the origin story behind Chucky’s rise to homicidal doll, is that he was apparently a real child at some point. So, that should be interesting to say the least.

If you are looking forward to watching the Chucky series when it hits Syfy at some point in 2020, let us know in the comments, or share it with your friends and foes on social media. We dare you to post it on Reddit.
